Rental Application—A rental application is a form landlords use to determine whether someone is a good fit by checking information such as job references, income, rental history, and background or credit. Once the applicant is approved, both parties can sign the Alabama Residential Lease Template.
Landlord-Tenant Regulations

- Lead-Based Paint Disclosure Form and EPA Brochure—Landlords must provide a disclosure form and EPA brochure for properties built before 1978.
- Landlord Information – The lease must include the landlord’s name and mailing address for tenant notices.
- Absence Notification — The lease must state that tenants must notify the landlord of absences longer than 14 days.
